Ozone also drifts into the atmosphere in varying amounts from a layer surrounding the earth in the stratosphere above the tropopause at approximately 50,000 feet altitude, produced from oxygen by strong solar rays.It is important to estimate the resistance of vulcanized rubber to cracking when exposed to an atmosphere containing ozone. The Ozone test chamber is used to provide precise and accurate (O3) concentration environment for rubber and polymer testing. During the test rubber specimens are kept under a surface tensile strain, and the content or partial pressure in the test chamber is maintained at a fixed level.
