Nivetha Pethuraj has completed Level 1 of the Formula race car training program

Actress Nivetha Pethuraj has completed the Level 1 of the Formula Race Car Training Program hosted by “Momentum – School of Advance Racing&rdquo ;.Sharing the headlines, actress Nivetha Pethuraj says, “My interest towards cars started within my school days when I was studying in 8th grade when an aunt in my neighbourhood purchased a sports car. It inspired me with a solid curiosity towards sports cars, and it kept brewing in me for years. In 2015, I purchased a “Dodge Challenger” sports vehicle, and I was the next girl in UAE to get it. Actually, my dad wasn't happy as he was concerned with the V6 Engine, that includes a fast racing power. Nonetheless, I was confident driving it and felt so cool. Besides, I have worked in several Dubai Motor shows, which kept escalating the fascination I've towards cars. When I came right down to Chennai, I had visited several motor tracks, but never imagined that one day I will be there steering my way. My passion for cars got rebooted when BMW approached me to test drive the car for per week, which made me revisit my passion. When my buddy Nishanth visited Momentum - School of Advance Racing in Coimbatore, I was scared if I will make it through. I had to enrol 90 days earlier for this system, and each session would have only 8 people, and I was the sole girl amidst them. As I got used to the tracks, I began feeling more confident, and by the end, my lap timings were almost on par with the other guys. It has propelled in me a massive lease of self-confidence that motorsports aren't just for the men, but women as well. Nonetheless, there aren't Formula 1 and Formula 2 championships for girls, and I am hoping it becomes a fact soon.”

Ask Nivetha Pethuraj if she'd be taking part in championships soon and she says, “I am already being approached for all championships. But it takes lots of investment and dedication for track practice. Besides, it's easy for me to get sponsors as I have grown to be a familiar face in the industry. It's a pricey sport as every race will surely cost around Rs.15 Lac. So, I is going to be getting up with it only if I am too keen about it. For now, my interest and desire are all about completing different levels.”
