Actor Abishek Ambareesh has not eliminated the likelihood of contesting in elections from Mandya district in future. Abishek may be the son of actress-turned-member of parliament Sumalatha Ambareesh and late actor Ambareesh, who also dabbled in both films and politics.
Abishek, who had been in Mandya to take part in a ration kit distribution event, has said, "If people want me to contest in the election, I will definitely take a political plunge. Nobody knows what's available in the future. We did not expect a big change in the chief minister of Karnataka last week, so we cannot predict about future, especially in politics."
Abishek, who is called young Rebel Star, had campaigned for his mother in the last parliamentary elections which saw Sumalatha winning by way of a huge margin. On the film front, Abishek will soon be observed in Bad Manners which will be his second project in Kannada. The movie, directed by Duniya Soori, was extensively shot in Mandya before the next lockdown was imposed. The film will have Rachita Ram and Priyanka Kumar in the female lead.
